Review - Violet Made of Thorns

Wow! I was not expecting the wild ride that is this book. Violet may be my new favorite heroine! She lies when she needs to, she pulls no punches and just does what she needs to do to survive. She knows the king is a faker and a phony as well, in fact he is often the one encouraging her to lie to make sure his plans succeed. This is often at odds with what his son, Prince Cyrus, may want and it puts Violet and the prince at cross purposes often.

The Prince thinks Violet needs to be taught a lesson and sent away when he's crowned. Violet thinks the prince is an idiot. In the midst of all of this, the book twists and turns, leaving the reader in awe of where this talented author takes the story.

This is one of those stories that I did not want to end. I am so glad this is a series and I cannot wait for the next book!
