The Name Game was such a cute, easy romance read with a really fun setup. Two people with the exact same name accidentally showing up for the same job on a tiny remote island? It was hilarious from the first few pages. The Isle of Ormer setting was super charming, and I liked that both Charlies were dealing with their own messy life stuff while trying to start over.
This one felt sweet, cozy, and a little emotional, with Beth O’Leary’s usual warmth throughout. It wasn’t an all-time favorite for me, but I still had a good time with it and thought the chemistry and small-town island vibes made it a really enjoyable read.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Jones has come out of a difficult breakup and is looking forward to some peace away from the noise of his city life. Moving to Ormer couldn’t have come at a better time.
But when Charlie Jones and, ahem, Charlie Jones both turn up at Ormer’s one and only farm shop, claiming to have been offered the role of manager, everyone is baffled. How could this have happened? And just who is the real Charlie Jones?
